McLaren Announces Limited Run 50 12C for 50th Anniversary

In a press release on May 23rd, McLaren announced that it would be producing 100 limited edition 12Cs and 12C Spiders (50 each) in celebration of McLaren's 50th Anniversary to be held in September of this year. The models, to be called the "50 12C" and "50 12C Spider" are, according to McLaren, to feature "unique styling and specification enhancements" and will be built by McLaren's bespoke division MSO responsible for producing custom McLarens.

Some of the new styling and enhancements include is reported to include a CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics)-optimized front bumper to provide increased frontal down-force other visual improvements, carbon ceramic brakes, 19-inch front and 20-inch rear Ultra Lightweight wheels, and full leather interior with carbon fiber trim. The cars will be available in Carbon Black, Supernova Silver or McLaren Orange and will show off the McLaren F1 inspired McLaren badge (usually reserved for MSO clients) and also the McLaren 50 logo.
