Limited Production Jaguar XKR-S GT Unveiled at NY Auto Show

Finally unveiled at the 2013 New York Auto Show, the 2014 Jaguar XKR-S's dramatic design is not limited to its new sporty black trim on white paint job with 20 in. black rims contrasted by yellow brake calipers.

This new XKR-S was built with a supercharged 5.0 liter petrol V8 engine with 550 horsepower and 502 lb-ft of torque. It tops out at an electronically limited 186 MPH and will accelerate from 0-62 in 3.9 seconds.

Stealing its suspension from the new F-TYPE, the front and rear suspensions have been completely updated from previous XKR-S models including a brand new steering system. The new suspension was designed to increase the vehicle's down force and improve its cornering ability.

The "R" badge is only added to Jaguar's top performance models, and the new XKR-S GT clearly deserves this honor. Jaguar has confirmed, however, that this XKR-S GT will be a limited production model with only 30 planned. In other words, don't expect to see too many of these out on the road.
