Lamborghini SUV Concept "Urus" Coming to Production in 2017

By Jon Derrickson on June 3, 2013

Apparently we still aren't done blogging about specifics from Lamborghini's 50th Anniversary celebration event. Follow these links to watch videos of the event or read about the Egoista unveling. During the event, Lamborghini confirmed that they will be taking the Lamborghini SUV concept, called the Urus, to production and we expect to see it available for sale by 2017.

The Urus was originally unveiled at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show but talks of production were put on hold due to concerns in the wake of European financial crises last year. We don't know much yet about the insides of this sporty, sharp lined SUV but its rumored to have carbon fiber trimmings to keep its weight down, a 600 horsepower V8 engine combined with an electric motor, and its own newly developed suspension.

2017 is a ways off, but we will be sure to update you as we hear more.
