Infiniti Finally Showcase Their Q Inspiration Concept
By Jon Derrickson on January 5, 2018
After a long period of uncertainty, teasing and apprehension, Infiniti have now given their new sedan a title – the Q Inspiration Concept. It’s set to be launched into the market this month, and it features a very unique, innovative and futuristic design. In fact, the curvaceous shape will be the cornerstone of Infiniti’s brand image going forward.
Based off the latest images that have been released, it possesses a very modern appearance, with a hint of sport with the outlet behind the front fenders. Now, although it’s relatively simple, people are still excited, and will get the first glimpse at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Additionally, the taillight on the rear stretches across the whole width, with an integrated exhaust in the lower half, which enhances the overall beauty.
Alongside the images, Infiniti Design Director, Karim Habib stated:
“We aim to take traditional sedan architecture to its next stage of evolution. The Q Inspiration offers an alternative form; something more flowing in appearance with an unusually long and balanced cabin. Experimenting with new proportions in a typically conservative segment, the Q Inspiration features a shorter hood and elongated body, with all the benefits to interior wellbeing, comfort, and space that this layout entails.”
Moving on, Infiniti have ensured they’ve focused on driving pleasure, as well as the performance and appearance. They’ve added a number of comfort features, and the abundance of glass in the roof is to allow plenty of natural light in, to give an airy feel to the cabin. Not much has been said regarding the performance, but Habib stated – “A shift toward smarter, more compact, and less intrusive powertrains” – when asked about the engine specs.
The wait is nearly over for the Q Inspiration Concept to hit the roads, so either keep an eye out, or consider making a purchase!
