By Jon Derrickson on June 5, 2013

Porsche is celebrating the 911's 50th birthday this year at the Frankfurt Motor Show this September with a limited edition 911 model.

The US version of this anniversary edition 911 will come standard with the Porsche Powerkit and Sport Chrono Package. These updates increase the standard 3.8 liter engine to 430 horsepower. This model will go from 0-60 in 4.2 seconds and will reach a top speed of 186 MPH.

This special edition 911 will also include many of the features that have made the 911 successful over the years including Porsche's PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management), sport exhaust, matte black 20-inch wheels, and dynamic cornering headlights (PDLS). The car will be available in one of three colors: dark graphite gray, light geyser gray metallic, or monochrome black. Each special edition 911 will be fitted with the "911 50" badge below the PORSCHE badge on the rear of the car (see pictures above).

The limited edition 911 will be available for sale this fall starting at around $125,000.
