The McLaren 720S is an incredible supercar that is admired all across the globe. But, now that Carlex Design – the aftermarket specialists – have put their own spin on it, it’s become a whole new animal. Carlex are renowned for utilizing an abundance of fine leather and Alcantara, but their McLaren 720S project is special.
Not only have they kitted the interior out with a stunning burgundy colourway, they’ve also tweaked the exterior slightly. When you step inside, you’ll instantly notice the expert work, which includes leather, Alcantara and carbon fiber. Despite covering the door panels, steering wheel, seat upholstery, center console, floor and headliner, it only took the company just three weeks to finish.
On the outside, they’ve simply added their own personal twist, in the form of painted eagle wings on the side of the vehicle. The whole thing just looks perfect, and the changes Carlex have made flow throughout the car. When asked about the influence for their modifications, they said – “a history motif of 16th to 18th century ‘winged’ Polish cavalry.”
As you can probably guess, no mechanic changes were made whatsoever. After all, where you could possible improve the McLaren 720S? It has a powerful bi-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine that racks up 710-BHP and 568 pound-feet of torque. All of that power is generated through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, and when you put your foot to the floor, it’ll fly from 0-62-MPH in just 2.9 seconds. Oh, and the top speed? Just a mere 212-MPH!
If you are searching for supercar that is nothing like you’ve ever spotted before, the Carlex version of the McLaren 720S could be the one.
