Rimac introduces C_Two California Edition Hypercar

By Tim Charlet on August 29, 2018

Move over Bugatti – there is a new Hypercar on the prowl – and this one brings the bubbly. Rimac Automobili, the Croatian electric-automotive manufacturer has recently unveiled a Special California Edition for the C-Two Hypercar at an automotive show in Geneva. This new all-electric hypercar is capable of speeds approaching 258 miles per hour, with sites on offering level-four autonomous driving. While it’s cozy and compact inside, it does offer room for two additional champagne bottles (to be enjoyed responsibly once arriving to your destination of-course).

The car is expected to make a splash at the upcoming Monterey Car Week, showing at The Quail on August 24th and the Exotics on Canary Row the next day. While details and specs on the new C-Two are being hidden until an official launch later in 2018, here is what we’ve gathered so far on this unique electric-powered hypercar.

  • The new Rimac C_Two features a visually stunning Electric Blue exterior paint scheme, offset by an elegant saddle brown interior.
  • The California themed Rimac hypercar has been outfitted with an interior harness for holding two 6-liter champagne bottles and crystal champagne flutes (seriously).
  • This electric hypercar doesn’t have gullwing doors – but butterfly wing doors, a unique styling enhancement that permits easier access inside.

The Rimac C_Two GT Hypercar can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in a mind-numbing 1.85 seconds, with a top speed of 258 mph. This car features a squadron of 58-independent LED bulbs in each headlight. It’s equipped with it’s own ventilation system for LED lights – including an air-outlet for rear lights. On the back, a fully-flat, optimized venturi-effect rear wing allows air to accelerate underneath the car to remove positive pressure. This feature enhances stability, handling, and even improves performance. The C_Two’s power output belts out 1,914 peak horsepower, and 1,696 pound-feet of torque. More information about the new California Edition C_TWO will be coming shortly.
