For all the buyers who had hands in their mouths for buying a brand new Mercedes- Maybach G650 Landaulet or wanted to get their hands on a bigger model of SUV with an extra axle, Kahn has made sure to make each one of their praising clients happy. With a new version of its six-wheeled Land Rover Defender hitting the markets, all those who had once been dreaming are now having no boundaries to their happiness.
While Kahn loves calling it the Flying Huntsman 6X6 Soft Top, the other details of the model are going to be out soon. As of now, the customers are just aware of it being a six-wheeled and semi-soft top SUV. The firm has, however, been tight-lipped about the details of the 6x6 Soft Top.
Kahn had earlier premiered the Flying Huntsman 6x6 Soft Top at the Geneva Motor Show in 2015. Since traction had never been a problem because of the efficient six-speed automatic gearbox, two-speed transfer cases and locking differentials for the six-wheel-drive system; although the initial concept used a 6.2 liter V8 with 430 horsepower (320 Kilowatts). In order to fit the extensive equipment, Kahn has put in every effort to stretch the hood by 15.75 inches, which is approximately 400 millimeters, and the passenger compartment has also been stretched by 39 inches, which is 1000 millimeters. The model premiered has also been 5.9 inches (150mm) wider than the parent model.
Also, armoured plating was made an additional option. To make interiors much more pleasing as well as luxurious, crimson leather has been put into utilization. It is even to be noted that Kahn also made sure to add a double cap pickup variant of the Flying Huntsman 6X6 Soft Top to its range. While one of them is currently for sale from the company for 249,995 pounds ($ 335,000 at current exchange rates), the aforesaid model has a 2.2-liter diesel with just 122 hp (91kW).
As of now, Mercedes has come up with 99 models of its own G650 Landaulet. Originally priced at 630,000 euros, the value has quickly inflated on the used market. Like, to cite an example, the Bonhams have sold the final example off the line for 1.2 million euros, which was $1.4 million at that time.
