Cool Motorcycle Find: Auto Fabrica Type 11

By Zlatan Stankovic on April 27, 2018

If you’re a huge fan of motorcycles, you’ll list this café racer project that British manufacturer – Auto Fabrica – have been working on. They’ve utilized the Yamaha XSR900 chassis, custom-built a frame, added some awesome parts and created what they’ve called the Type 11. It’s inspired by the ‘50s and ‘60s era but they’ve put their own futuristic spin on it.

It has an aggressive, bullet-shaped front with a perfectly positioned circular headlight that slots into the fairing. There’s a paper-thin, Alcantara and race foam seat unit that contributes brilliantly to the aerodynamics.

BST carbon fibre wheels have been incorporated with Supercorsa V2 tyres to give it that effortless grip on the roads. The 900cc engine alongside the 3 into 3 stainless steel, hand-made exhaust produces terrific power with concurrent noise. Auto Fabrica have also added K&N open air filters, Brembo brake callipers and a fuel filler that slides nicely under a panel on the tank.

This particular version of the Type 11 is prototype 2. Another two prototypes were built, but number 2 is the only one that is fit for the road, as the other two were made solely for the track. According to reports, the first delivers are being shipped out towards the end of the year, but keep an eye out for more details.

The Auto Fabrica Type 11 is definitely one to add to the collection!
