The new Audi A7 is gorgeous and even better than its A8 predecessor. It is 195.6 inches long and 55.9 inches tall; its sleek design lower and wider than the A8, making it more sporty and dynamic. The curved roof elegantly bends into a pop-up spoiler that opens automatically when you hit 75 miles per hour. The storage available is 18.9 cubic feet, with the possibility of folding the back seats to get 49.1 cubic feet.
The car is just as sleek on the inside as it is on the outside. Although it is very similar to the Audi A8, it does justice to the beautiful lines of its innovative design. However, the new Audi A7 has 0.8 inches more indoor space than the A8, with two seating options: 2 plus 2 and five-place. The amazing technology the car offers includes a 10.1-inch MMI Touch Response touchscreen, which, starting with an intuitive homepage, will lead you to all the settings, navigation and music you desire. Besides that, another touch screen (8.6 inches) will allow you to change the temperature and it will transform itself into a keypad when needed.
The main material used for the construction of the new Audi A7 is aluminium, with sports in mind. Steering is essential in this new car: there is variable-ratio steering as well as the option of rear-wheel steering. Safety elements are some of the most unique features of the Audi A7; managed by a zFAS computer, the car has a laser scanner, five cameras and radars, and 12 sensors. Other technologic additions to the car are the lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic reading of traffic signs, communication with other Audis through V2V, and automated remote parking with Audi AI.
Other exciting optional features include: HD Matrix LED lights with lasers, air perfuming, massaging seats in the front, a big sunroof, a Bang and Olufsen surround sound, as well as four possible types of suspensions: standard, adaptive, air and sport suspensions. With the same launch engine as the Audi A8 (turbocharged 3-liter gasoline V6), the new car has 340 horsepower and 369 pound-feet torque. It is important to note that the battery (48-volt lithium-ion) can provide some hybrid performances.
A major difference between the new A8 and the A7 that needs to be noted is in their transmissions types: while the Audi A8 has an eight-speed automatic transmission, the Audi A7 uses a seven-speed dual clutch. This means it can sprint up to 199 km per hour in just 5.3 seconds, its top speed being 250 km per hour. The car company is planning to later release four and six-cylinder engines (as well as diesel) in Europe.
The thrilling new Audi A7 is launching this February in German, but it will only launch the Unites States later in 2018 or 2019.
