Ferrari to Sell Exclusivity...by Selling Less

Ferrari announced recently that it plans to cut production of Ferrari cars by 400 units this year in order to make Ferrari cars more exclusive. From the outside one might think that owning a Ferrari is already exclusive and not just from the price tag either.

The first Audi R8 e-tron was unveiled as a concept car at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show and has since been tested and tweaked by Audi resulting in ten different versions of the all electric car. Many speculated that the testing would at least result in a limited edition or limited run car but alas Audi has but all speculation to rest by officially confirming that the e-tron will not make it to production.

In a press release on May 23rd, McLaren announced that it would be producing 100 limited edition 12Cs and 12C Spiders (50 each) in celebration of McLaren's 50th Anniversary to be held in September of this year. The models, to be called the "50 12C" and "50 12C Spider" are, according to McLaren, to feature "unique styling and specification enhancements" and will be built by McLaren's bespoke division MSO responsible for producing custom McLarens.

In a recent press release, Porsche details their all new 2014 Porsche 918 Spyder Hybrid. According to Porsche, the new 918 Drivers has a unique all wheel drive system with a combustion and electric motor on the rear axle and a second electric motor on the front axle. Down to the chassis and axles, this 918 was built with racing and motor sport in mind.

Lamborghini recently celebrated its 50 year birthday with The Grand Giro, or tour. The three tour, made up of around 350 Lamborghinis, toured the most scenic parts of Italy.
