Super expensive exotic cars like the Ferrari 458 Spider are certainly nice to look at, and I’m sure there are other people out there like us who could spend an entire day doing just that. But how often do you really get to see one in action? Not driving-around-the-neighborhood action, but truly driven like it was designed to? Thanks to the Drive Channel and to whoever lent their 458 Spider to Chris Harris against Ferrari’s wishes, that’s exactly what we’re treated to in the above video. Enjoy!

By Brittany Cermak on January 31, 2013
Details surfaced this morning about the potential successor to Mercedes-Benz’ SLS AMG—the SLC AMG. Intended to compete with the Porsche 911s of the world, the SLC is expected to start at a price point of $110,000—or about $90,000 less than the starting MSRP of the SLS (pictured above). Additionally, though the new sports coupe will share a platform with the SLS, it will likely be a somewhat shorter, lighter, and more agile version of its predecessor.

Unless you count the limited production 8C Competizione, which Alfa Romeo briefly sold through Maserati’s U.S. dealer network in 2009, the Italian automaker hasn’t sold a car in the United States for quite some time now. However, since it left the U.S. market in 1995—in order to ensure that out of sight did not indeed mean out of mind—Alfa has been vocal about its intention to someday grace our shores once again. Though the Fiat SpA-owned automaker has missed quite a few target dates to do so over the past five or six years, we’re pretty sure that we’ll see an Alfa Romeo 4C by the end of 2013. Additionally, as Bloomberg reports, we might also see an Alfa-branded crossover shortly thereafter.

Founded just last year in 2012, the United Arab Emirates’ W Motors has already designed, engineered, and manufactured a supercar. We’re not talking about your run-of-the-mill supercar either—assuming, of course, that supercars can actually be run-of-the-mill. Rather, we’re talking about a supercar with a starting price of $3.4 million dollars. What, you might ask, could possibly warrant such an outrageous price?

Jaguar currently sells three models in the United States—the XF, XJ, and XK (pictured above). Soon, the British automaker will introduce its F-Type sports car to the mix. Intended to succeed Jaguar’s E-Type, which is generally considered to be one of the most iconic sports cars of the 1960’s, the F-Type will start at $69,000. While that price would put the F-Type near the top of a lot of other luxury automaker’s lineups, the upcoming sports car’s starting MSRP is higher than only the $46,975 starting MSRP of Jaguar’s entry-level XF sedan. With that in mind, it’s not surprising that Jaguar’s global brand director recently told Automotive News that the automaker is hoping to improve brand accessibility and boost sales with a return to the compact segment.
