Porsche Details the 2014 918 Spyder Hybrid

In a recent press release, Porsche details their all new 2014 Porsche 918 Spyder Hybrid. According to Porsche, the new 918 Drivers has a unique all wheel drive system with a combustion and electric motor on the rear axle and a second electric motor on the front axle. Down to the chassis and axles, this 918 was built with racing and motor sport in mind.

The all new 2014 Porsche 911 GT3 is set to premiere at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. It will be available for purchase in the US later this year priced from $131,350. The new 911 GT3 benefits from an all new engine, transmission, body and chassis. The 3.8-liter V6 boxer engine puts out 475 horsepower with a max torque of 324 lb-ft. The power train also includes a 7-speed Porsche dual-clutch transmission.

It’s that time of year again—time for J.D. Power and Associates to announce the results of their annual new vehicle reliability survey. As usual, the market research firm polled car owners across the country and tallied the number of problems they had with their vehicles in the past year. This year’s survey focused on vehicles purchased during the 2010 model year. As The L.A. Times reports, topping the list of most reliable vehicle brands three years after purchase are Porsche, Lexus, Lincoln and Toyota. Not a fan of these marques? You’ll be glad to know that J.D. Power and Associates also found that cars on average are becoming more reliable.
