In a press release on May 23rd, McLaren announced that it would be producing 100 limited edition 12Cs and 12C Spiders (50 each) in celebration of McLaren's 50th Anniversary to be held in September of this year. The models, to be called the "50 12C" and "50 12C Spider" are, according to McLaren, to feature "unique styling and specification enhancements" and will be built by McLaren's bespoke division MSO responsible for producing custom McLarens.

Called the "Qualified" program, McLaren has officially launched its Certified Pre-Owned Program. Interested buyers will need to purchase from an authorized McLaren retailer. All Qualified pre-owned McLarens will undergo a a full qualification inspection from McLaren-trained technician. The technician will also upgrade the McLaren to the latest specifications, potentially making it better than when it first left production. Additionally, a Qualified McLaren will include a two year, unlimited mileage warranty and two years road side assistance.

This year’s Geneva Motor Show will take place between March 7th and 17th in Geneva, Switzerland. Like always, there will be a number of vehicles making their debuts at the show. One of the debuts we are particularly excited about is the McLaren P1’s. Successor to the British automaker’s F1 supercar, the long-awaited P1 is rumored to have a starting price around $1.2 million. McLaren will likely only make about 500 copies of the car, which they hope will be a direct competitor to Ferrari’s upcoming Enzo replacement. Coincidentally, the F150—as Ferrari’s been calling it—is also scheduled to debut in Geneva.
