New Ninja H2 Series for Kawasaki
By Z on September 12, 2017
For all Kawasaki enthusiasts, this is likely to be a day you’ve been thinking about for quite some time; the new Ninja H2 Series has now been announced by Kawasaki and they look just as good as we all hoped.
As supercharged 998cc models, a recent press release revealed Kawasaki’s intent to produce a bike that could offer supreme performance but without being classified as either ‘racing’ or ‘street’. Considering this is a factory-built motorcycle, the power on offer from this four-stroke supercharged bike is incredible and one that older generations won’t quite believe possible.
Built in their superb facilities, the Ninja H2 Series borrows heavily from the H2R in terms of engineering and this has allowed the bike to become legal (and capable) on roads around the world. Last year, you may have seen the H2 Carbon which was released in small numbers; if you enjoyed this release, you’ll be glad to know this will be reappearing in 2018.
In total, three models will be released with 998cc inline four-cylinder engines, compact superbike dimensions, superb Brembo brakes, trellis frame, propriety supercharger, single-sided swingarm, aerodynamic bodywork, and many more features to get the adrenalin pumping.
Three Models – With the Ninja H2R, this will be a limited release model which means it will only be available for a set period of time and in certain markets alone. If you’re interested in ordering the model, you’ll have to visit your local Kawasaki dealer, complete an order form, and pay a deposit towards the bike. However, the cut-off date is the end of November 2017 and they’re currently operating on a first-come, first-served policy which means you may miss out on the world’s most powerful production motorcycle even after visiting the Kawasaki dealer before the deadline.
With the standard H2 model, this will also be available in selected markets and you’ll need to show your interest before November 30th again if you want to secure a model. Just as we saw last year with the limited release, the Ninja H2 Carbon will be released once again and this could just be the rarest of them all after Kawasaki themselves stated ‘there will be extremely limited production’. As of right now, the standard H2 can be bought for $28,000 while the Carbon will cost $31,000 and the H2R will set owners back $55,000.
