The
Mercedes-Benz 500SL (R129) is a
roadster/coupe produced by Mercedes-Benz from 1989 until 2001. The R129 is a two-
door,
two-seat model with an automated (electro-hydraulic), fabric color-matched
convertible
roof (grey vs. black); power tonneau cover; and a detachable hardtop that can be
fitted
over the stored fabric convertible roof and tonneau, plus a hidden, automatically
extending roll-over bar and a modern multi-link axle. Windows, mirrors and seats are
all
power. Kenwood upgraded radio with USB input, plus original Becker AM/FM/CD in trunk.
This car is a true garage queen with very low
mileage for its age. Recently it received a new battery, new tires an oil service. It
is
accident and rust-free, all original down to the paint and interior, all in show
quality

The SL500
is one of the safest classic cars around. It features a roll bar that deploys
automatically in 0.3 second if a rollover is detected (or can be popped up with a

the
