1997 Land Rover Defender 90- LT1 V8 SWAP- (2015 PUMA BODY)
Celebrity Cars is pleased to offer this custom-built 1997 Land Rover Defender 90, built exclusively for Celebrity Cars. This Defender runs and drives exceptionally well and represents a modern performance reinterpretation of an iconic off-road platform.
Power comes from a 6.2L GM LT1 V8 producing 455 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 10L80 10-speed automatic transmission with TapShift. The drivetrain was sourced from a 2020 Chevrolet Camaro SS and delivers modern reliability, smooth power delivery, and impressive performance both on-road and off-road. The LT1 engine is the same powerplant used in sixth-generation Chevrolet Camaro and Corvette models (2016-2024).
The body is a New Take-Off (NTO) Defender body from a 2015 Land Rover Defender (Puma), giving this vehicle a fresh, updated appearance while retaining the classic Defender 90 styling and proportions.
This Defender is well equipped with modern conveniences, including: Apple CarPlay stereo Power door locks with remote key fob Power windows Air conditioning Four-wheel disc brakes Fox shock absorbers Leather interior see photos of build and refurbished chassis.  The vehicle is titled in the state of Nevada as a 1997 Land Rover Defender and is mileage exempt. It is a non-smoking vehicle and has always been garaged.  Odometer shows just over 300 miles since the build.
