This 1975 Pontiac Firebird Formula is an exceptionally interesting second-generation
Firebird combining Pontiac V8 power, a 4-speed manual transmission, aggressive Formula
styling, and a fascinating collection of period performance modifications that may be
connected to Motion Performance.
Under the hood is a Pontiac 400 V8 believed to be original to the car, upgraded with a
Holley Street Dominator intake, Holley 750 CFM carburetor, electronic ignition, aluminum
water pump, vintage Mickey Thompson valve covers, and an unusual external oil-filter
setup.
Backing the 400 is a rebuilt 4-speed manual transmission with a brand-new clutch, making
this exactly the type of drivetrain combination enthusiasts want in a second-generation
Firebird.
Perhaps most intriguing is the car's possible connection to Motion Performance. It
features several unusual modifications, including steel wheel flares, steel front-end
bracing, and a sway bar with an articulated adjustable connection. Most importantly, the
car is accompanied by its original bill of sale and additional Motion-related
documentation.
