1969 Chevy C10 short bed step side. 250 inline six, 3 speed on the column.
style="color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: "Bitstream Vera Serif", "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: medium;" /> The truck was bought new locally and was one family owned before I bought it. It's been lowered 3" front and rear. The rear shock mounts have been relocated for full travel and to correct the shock angle. Stock front wheels, 8" rear wheels with fresh urethane single stage paint and new tires. The engine is smooth and has good compression and was said to have been rebuilt by Gene Cromer (owner/builder of The Moonlighter Gasser) before it was parked. Trans shifts smoothly with no grinds or bearing noise. Read axle doesn't whine. Runs and drives great with no bad habits. Its super reliable, I've put 1,300 miles on it over the last 6 weeks with no problems other than a leaking water temperature sending unit (fixed now). It always starts right up and gets me where I'm going.
Outside it has an all new bed floor finished with custom mixed weathered grey/walnut stain and satin spar urethane. Mostly original paint with tons of dents, scratches, gouges, etc. If you're not into patina then this isn't the truck for you. This was a farm/work truck and it shows, especially the bed and back of the cab. One rocker has two small holes, both inner door bottoms, and one cab corner has rust- detailed pics in ad. The floors had minor rust and were patched and sealed with Por15 before the new carpet went in....
