One of only fourteen left hand drive design PV 23 late "VE" (1966) and "VF" (1967) series Roll-Royce Touring Limousines by James Young Ltd. Coachbuilders. This particular car, LVF 125 is third from the last made. It is finished Garnet over Black with Beige hydes and magnificent wood. The importance of this car can not be overstated. Lawrence Dalton, the recognized authority on post-war coachbuilt Rolls-Royce, features design 23 on the cover and frontispiece of his original book as well as a sedanca version on his second updated book. In the words of Dalton, "Magnificence inside to match the elegance outside. For sheer elegance, my personal preference is the Phantom V with a James Young Touring Limousine, design PV 23". These later cars are readily identified by the Hooper style razor rear quarter light and feature side facing jump seats. The steeper rake of the roof line gave a long beautiful flowing lines that earned James Young Ltd. countless gold medals for design. The interior, as can be seen below, is incredible, with wood unmatched in elegance since. This car is restored and complete with all tools, books and even rarely seen original James Young factory brochures. The tool kit is unplundered, crystal is complete, a rare factory owner's supplement to the handbook and there is a feeling that one gets quickly that this car is correct and "fresh" for a car that is nearly 40 years old. Destined to remain highly valuable and collectable, this is a rare opportunity to own a very sought-after PV23 in pristine Concours condition.
