Offered for sale is this beautiful 1958 Chevrolet Corvette, an iconic first-generation C1
finished with the timeless styling that has made the 1958 model one of the most
recognizable Corvettes ever produced. Equipped with both a removable hardtop and a
folding soft top, this classic is an excellent driver that's ready to be enjoyed.
Under the hood is a period-correct 283 cubic-inch V8 paired with a 4-speed manual
transmission. The engine starts easily, runs smoothly, and delivers the spirited
performance these early Corvettes are known for. It drives exceptionally well and is
ready to hit the open road.
One of the highlights of this Corvette is its exceptional body fit and panel alignment.
The body lines are outstanding throughout, a feature that's becoming increasingly
difficult to find on C1 Corvettes. The frame is solid, giving this car an excellent
foundation for years of enjoyment.
The paint is older but still presents very well as a nice driver-quality finish, while
the chrome remains largely original and presents nicely, including the original trunk
spears. The removable hardtop is in very good condition, while the soft top frame is
present but will require a new canvas top.
The interior is clean and presentable, though the carpeting would benefit from
replacement, offering the next owner an opportunity to add their own finishing touch.
Mechanically, this Corvette is especially impressive. It does not leak oil or fluids, a
rarity even among much more expensive classic Corvettes. Nearly everything functions
properly, including the lights, with the exception of the driver's-side brake light,
which is believed to need a bulb replacement.
