This is possibly the Holly Grail of Crosleys. It is a 1947 Roundside pickup. It has been completly restored to concours level. It is the best one in existance. It was just purchased out of the estate of a premier collector and restorer of these fine cars. I have two other car from the estate as well. It has a super rare new old stock Cobra Motor. This was called the Tin Block. It was made from 120 pieces of sheet steel and tubing. It weighes only 60 lbs. and developed 26 HP, an almost unheard of Weight to HP ratio. This production motor was short lived due to corrosive effects of the salt based antifreezes. After consulting with Union Carbide they suggested a 70/30 mix of disstilled water and Prestone which solved the problem for this restored car. This might be the last motor of its kind. When the car was completley restored by a renowned Crosley collector he found this motor new in a crate and installed it to complete the rare original combination you see here. If that was not special enough it has a rare steering column Crosley radio Roam10. I have never seen this accessory in one of these. This is a must have car for the collector of Crosleys or of anything different vehicle. It will draw more attention than a million dollar car parked next to it at any car show.
