1939 BUICK SPECIAL SPORT COUPE  What a classy car. Here is a rare 1939 Buick Special - Sport Coupe (Model 46S) complete with rear opera seats. It has been restored over several years and looks gorgeous from every angle, and with its Dynaflash straight-8 engine is a very capable automobile. This example has an amazing body finished in beautiful metallic Green and Solid Black paint. No rust anywhere Pictures just cannot do justice to the car's quality and appearance. The chrome is excellent as well and really makes this car pop, especially with Buick's unique two-piece grill. The glass is in great shape and all windows work properly. All rubber seals are good as well. The heart of this car is its     248 cubic inch Dynaflash engine    . This straight-eight overhead valve motor was completely rebuilt less than 1,000 miles ago. It was hot tanked and given a slight overbore, while the head received hardened valve seats for compatibility with today's gasoline. This engine may have been rated for only 107 hp but back in the late 30's this was the powerplant of choice. The transmission is Buick's 3-speed column shifted manual with a new clutch. The car retains its 6V electrical system with new wiring throughout. Tires and shocks are all new for a nice ride, and the brakes work good without any pull. It all makes for a classic that you can actually drive and enjoy. The interior was completely redone. Of course, as a Sport Coupe this car was equipped with the rear opera seats which are complete and functional.
